The Healing Process

Finding Wholeness in Spirit, Soul, and Body

Healing isn’t just about getting better — it’s about becoming whole.
True healing touches every part of who we are:
spirit, soul, and body.

Jesus laid the foundation in Matthew 22:37–39:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Before we can love others, we must first learn to love ourselves — just as Scripture commands.

💝 Step One: Receive God’s Love

Everything starts with receiving the love of God.
We can’t pour from an empty cup, and we can’t love others (or even God) until we first receive His love.

“We love Him because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

“The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.” — Romans 5:5

And how does that love come alive in us?

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” — Romans 10:17

Faith opens the door for healing to begin.

Healing starts the moment we receive His love.

🌸 The Foundation of Total Health

Receive God’s Love ➜ Love God ➜ Love Yourself ➜ Love Your Neighbor

This is the divine order of love — the pathway to wholeness.

✨ 1. Healing for the SPIRIT

Spiritual healing begins when we face the truth and let God set us free.
Here’s a simple way to take spiritual inventory:

  • Recognize what’s wrong.

  • Take responsibility for it.

  • Repent and turn from it.

  • Cut ties with anything that opposes God.

  • Eliminate it from your life.

  • Resist when it tries to come back.

  • Rejoice in your freedom.

  • Restore others by helping them get free too.

“By His wounds you have been healed.” — 1 Peter 2:24

Freedom starts within. When the spirit is restored, everything else follows.

💭 2. Healing for the SOUL

Our thoughts and emotions need daily renewal. The Word tells us how:

“Don’t be anxious about anything... and the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds.” — Philippians 4:6–7

“Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable — think on these things.” — Philippians 4:8

How to care for your soul:

  • Be mindful of what enters through your eyes and ears.

  • Spend time in Scripture and prayer.

  • Engage in creative, life-giving activities.

  • Fill your space with peace and positivity.

Your peace is worth protecting.

💪 3. Healing for the BODY

Your body is a temple — designed for strength and health.
When you care for your body, you’re honoring God.

“It will be health to your body and refreshment to your bones.” — Proverbs 3:8

Practical ways to love your body:

  • Eat nourishing foods.

  • Stay active and move regularly.

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Rest deeply and manage stress.

  • Trust God to guide your health journey.

“She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong.” — Proverbs 31:17

❤️ Loving Yourself Is Obedience

When Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” He revealed a divine truth —
you can’t love others until you’ve learned to
love yourself.

Loving yourself isn’t pride — it’s obedience.
It’s saying yes to the way God designed you.
You are His temple, His creation, His beloved.

When you love yourself, you’re agreeing with His truth —
and that’s where real healing begins.

🌿 Final Thought

Healing is a journey, not a quick fix.
It’s about walking hand-in-hand with the One who is Love.

Receive His love. Love Him back. Love yourself. Love others.
That’s the beautiful, sacred rhythm of divine healing.
